In support of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 15: Life on Land, Dubai Medical University (DMU) has undertaken activities to promote environmental conservation, biodiversity awareness, and sustainability education. A key initiative in 2023 was DMU’s participation in the "For Emirates We Plant" campaign, organized by the Emirates Environmental Group (EEG). As part of this nationwide reforestation effort, DMU students collected 145 kg of recyclable plastic, which enabled them to plant a tree at the Ajman National Reserve on December 23, 2023.

This action reflects DMU’s institutional commitment to environmental stewardship and community engagement. It also contributes to national efforts to enhance forest cover, reduce plastic pollution, and raise awareness of ecosystem protection. The initiative was supervised by DMCG faculty and demonstrates how DMU embeds sustainability into its academic and extracurricular programs.
