The university’s modern facilities — including its Simulation Center, research laboratories, and digital learning systems — provide students and faculty with an environment that fosters creativity and discovery. Through collaborations with healthcare institutions and industry partners, DMU contributes to developing sustainable and resilient healthcare infrastructure, aligning its mission with the UAE’s vision for a knowledge-based and innovative-driven society.
Innovation in Biomedical Research: Training Program on New Laboratory Technologies and RT-PCR
Dubai Medical University (DMU) actively supports through continuous investment in advanced research facilities and skill development. A training program at the Tissue Culture Laboratory was successfully conducted to enhance innovation capacity, covering operation, maintenance, and use of RT-PCR for genetic analysis. The program provided hands-on experience with state-of-the-art equipment, empowering faculty and students to apply modern biotechnology techniques, thereby strengthening DMU’s research infrastructure and contribution to scientific innovation.

Student Research Day
Research and Graduate Studies Unit at Dubai Medical University organized the Students Research Day on 22nd March 2024 (9:00 am – 12:00 pm). This initiative aims to enhance students’ research outreach by fostering innovation, collaboration, and scientific engagement. The event supported the development of research skills and improvement of research quality among DMCG students, contributing to the university’s commitment to advancing scientific excellence and sustainable innovation infrastructure.

Innovation in Medical Education – Global Webinar on Educational Systems
Dubai Medical University (DMU) organized a webinar titled “Global Medical Education: Reality or Myth?” on 17 March 2024, held via Zoom. The event focused on the globalization of medical education and explored innovative educational systems and international collaboration in healthcare training. Distinguished speakers, including Prof. Samar Ahmed, Prof. Janet Grant, and Dr. Arina Ziganshina, discussed key aspects of innovation in global education, equitable access, and modern pedagogical practices. The interactive sessions and group discussions promoted knowledge exchange, technological integration, and innovative learning approaches, supporting DMU’s commitment to advancing educational infrastructure and sustainable innovation in alignment with SDG 09

DMCG signs agreement with University College London
Dubai Medical College for Girls (DMCG) signed a collaboration agreement with University College London (UCL) to promote innovation, research excellence, and knowledge exchange. The partnership enhances academic infrastructure, fosters collaborative research, and supports innovation-driven education, aligning with SDG 9: Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure.

Faculty Development Session on Integrating Bibliometrics to Strengthen Research Innovation
Dubai Medical College for Girls (DMCG) organized a Faculty Development Session titled “Integrating Bibliometrics in Research Literature Reviews” on 16th October 2023, conducted by Dr. Hiba R. A. Mohammed. The session aimed to enhance faculty skills in bibliometric analysis and research evaluation, promoting innovation, data-driven research practices, and strengthening the university’s research infrastructure.
