Procedure for Policy:- An electronic copy of the final refereed, revised draft (post-print) of each research or scholarly output of the DMU is to be deposited in the Repository by the author within one month of acceptance for publication.
- Deposited final versions will be made available in open access except where this is restricted by publisher agreements or embargo.
- Approved copies of the theses of undergraduate/graduate students should be deposited in the Repository.
- Once uploaded, Library Staff will double-check to ensure that your uploaded version corresponds to the license your journal has given you to submit to an institutional repository. However, it is advised that depositors should check the publisher's contract or look up the SHERPA RoMEO database.
- In any case, to withdraw content on the Research Repository, the DMU library with the item's details should be contacted with the reasons for withdrawal.
Acceptable reasons for withdrawal include:
- Journal publishers' rules
- Proven copyright violation or plagiarism
- Legal requirements and proven violations
- Falsified research
- Inappropriate use of indigenous knowledge
