SDG 10 – Reduced Inequalities 2025

DMU contributes to SDG 10 by admitting students from many countries and backgrounds, supporting those who would otherwise be unable to study, and serving groups at risk of being left behind.

A diverse university

In 2025/26 DMU's 828 students held 55 nationalities; the largest groups were Emirati (159), Indian (129), Syrian (96), Pakistani (63), Egyptian (62) and Iraqi (56). Faculty and staff come from 30 countries. DMU marked this diversity with its Global Day on 19 February 2025.

Inclusion and accessibility

The Disability, Equity, Diversity and Inclusion policy (D.10) and DMU's Students of Determination provisions give step-free access, ramps and lifts in every building, accessible parking, restrooms and prayer areas, tactile paths, assistive audio in lecture halls, adjustable desks and screen-reader computers. Six students enrolled in 2025/26 are recorded with a disability or learning difference.
