Responsibilities
Teaching & Learning:- Deliver undergraduate and/or graduate teaching in accordance with the curriculum at DMU.
- Prepare and update teaching materials, conduct lectures, tutorials, practicals, and clinical teaching sessions as required.
- Supervise and assess students’ research, projects and examinations.
- Incorporate innovative teaching methodologies, including the use of technology and simulation where appropriate.
- Provide academic advising and mentoring to students.
- Develop and maintain an active research agenda aligned with the university’s research priorities.
- Publish in Scopus-indexed journals and present findings at highly reputed conferences.
- Seek external funding for research projects and contribute to collaborative research initiatives.
- Contribute to departmental, college, and university committees and activities.
- Participate in curriculum development and accreditation processes.
- Engage in community service and outreach activities.
- Contribute to faculty development initiatives.
Qualifications & experience
Professor:- Ph.D. or equivalent degree in the relevant field.
- Minimum of 10 years of teaching and research experience in higher education after the terminal degree, with evidence of significant contributions to the field.
- Strong publication record and demonstrated academic leadership.
- Ph.D. or equivalent degree in the relevant field.
- Minimum of 5 years of teaching and research experience in higher education after the terminal degree.
- Solid publication record and evidence of professional and academic achievements.
- Ph.D. or equivalent degree in the relevant field.
- Demonstrated potential in teaching, research, and service.
- Previous experience in higher education or postdoctoral training is preferred.
